G.I. Joe II: The Revenge of Cobra Five Part Miniseries - 1984 Part 1 It begins with a Joe convoy, carrying the new laser core, being attacked by Cobra. Cobra manages to cut off the truck carrying the laser core from the rest of the Joes and captures the laser core, Duke and Snake Eyes. The Joes capture Cobra Commander and take him to Blackwater Prison. However, Cobra Comm's new allies, Zartan and the Dreadnoks, capture Col. Sharpp on his way to the prison and Zartan impersonates him. He and the Baroness then infiltrate the prison and break Cobra Comm out. The group of Joes accompanying Cobra Comm realize they have been had and go after them, but they disappear into the swamp. Meanwhile, a group of Joes in Sky Strikers, led by Flint, pursue the Cobra plane carrying the laser core, Duke and Snake Eyes. While over the Pit of Chaos, Destro blasts the Joes with his new Weather Dominator. Flint Roadblock and Mutt & Junkyard all crash, but some of the Joes, led by Scarlett, escape. The Cobra plane lands and Destro hooks the laser core up to his weather dominator, giving it ultimate power and infinite range. Duke & Snake Eyes try to escape, but are stopped. At HQ, Scarlett and the Joes see Cobra's ultimatum on TV demanding the world surrender to Cobra or else the weather gone mad around the world (storms, tornadoes, blizzards, ect) will continue. Meanwhile, in the Pit of Chaos, Flint & the others are attacked by killer creeper vines, yet another of Desert's inventions. Part 2 Flint, Roadblock, and Mutt & Junkyard use the jets from a Sky Striker to fend off the vines while they work on something to get them out the crevice. At the Cobra temple, Duke & Snake Eyes are forced to fight each other in Cobra's Arena of Sport, but they are able to send a message to Joe HQ that Cobra plans to attack Washington DC with the weather dominator. Washington is evacuated, but there isn't a defense against the weather dominator until Doc comes up with energy mirrors that absorb, reflect and redirect the energy to stop Cobra. In the Pit of Chaos, Flint & the others build a make-shift helicopter to lift them out of the pit. Roadblock is grabbed off by the vines, but the others make it out safely. Then the chopper falls apart over Cobra territory. Flint, Mutt and Junkyard manage to steal Cobra uniforms and a VAMP. In the pit, the vines run out of water and die, releasing Roadblock and he climbs out. Flint, Mutt and Junkyard make their way to a small Cobra "town" and meet up with Shipwreck in a tavern. After a bar brawl, the group makes their way across the desert on a wind driven skiff until they run into a sand storm and Mutt is thrown overboard. Part 3 Flint jumps overboard to save Mutt and the group hides under the boat until the storm passes. The Joe and Cobra teams assemble their forces to recover the fragments. Flint, Mutt & Junkyard return to HQ with Shipwreck, who joins up. Meanwhile Roadblock jumps on top of a truck passing by. Inside he finds a woman, Honda Lou, tied up. Both Joes and Cobra go to the Island of No Return to retrieve the ion corrilator. The island is surrounded by a coral reef. Cobra and Joe forces battle it out, and are sucked into a huge whirlpool. The Joes blast the whirlpool and escape. Spirit goes to the island alone. Maj. Bludd lead the Cobra forces through the jungle to recover the hydromaster, which landed in the Palace of Doom. The Joes parachute in and attack Cobra. Cobra send in a giant robot snake into the palace and Lady Jaye, Shipwreck and Gung-Ho go in after it. The temple is booby trapped and a huge stone statue come to life and slugs it out with the Cobra robot while the Joes grab the fragment. On the island, Spirit finds the fragment and Storm Shadow. The two fight and fall down a waterfall. Part 4 At the palace, the freak weather caused by the Weather Dominator causes an earthquake, and the ground all around Lady Jaye, Shipwreck and Gung-Ho starts falling apart. They drop the fragment and Maj. Bludd, on a hang glider, retrieves it. On the island, Spirit and Storm Shadow are trapped in a cavern and are running out of air. The truck Roadblock is on ends up to have been stolen by Cobra and enters the Cobra temple. Spirit and Storm Shadow escape from the cavern and Storm Shadow gives Spirit the fragment for saving his life. The next mission is for the laser core, which landed on the Roof of the World. This time there is a third party involved- Zartan & the Dreadnoks, who are climbing up the side of the glazier. Cobra forces fly in and the Joes sled in. They converge on the Roof of the World for the world's weirdest hockey game, using the laser core as a puck and lasers as sticks. Zartan and the Dreadnok's come in on motorbikes and grab the laser core and then cause an avalanche. Part 5 Roadblock and Honda Lou break into Cobra Comm's control room and are eventually captured. They meet up with Duke and Snake Eyes in the Arena and have to face some electric snakes. They then are able to escape. Zartan's hideout is an old amusement park in the Bayou. He radios GI Joe and Cobra with his demands and they track the radio signal. Meanwhile, at Joe HQ, Storm Shadow steals the ion corrilator. The Dreadnoks ambush Cobra, using the amusement park rides as weapons. Breaker and Ripcord parachute in and take out the power generator. The rest of the Joes arrive and head for Zartan's control room. Zartan and the Dreadnoks try to run for it, but are caught by Destro and they give him the laser core. Duke and the others plant a homing signal so the Joes can find them and Joes launch an all out assault on Cobra Temple. Roadblock grabs some of the seeds for Destro's vines. Cobra reassembles the weather dominator and uses it against the Joes. Duke and his group sneak in and Roadblock unleashes the vines on the weather dominator. Zartan and Destro escape, but Cobra Comm. is captured again. Breaker stops all the crazy weather. GI Joe: The Revenge of Cobra is available on DVD:
